My dog Tinker is an emotional support animal. To most she looks like just another dog. To me, she is a lifesaver. My message to those who sneer at people who look "just fine": walk a mile in our shoes.

simple wish
I wish you could understand people talk so I could tell you how much you mean to me.
Tinker came all the way from Colorado and was a gift from my husband before we were married. She's a smooth black-and-tan miniature dachshund. I have the piece of paper that states that she is officially my emotional support animal. As far as travel is concerned, Tinker goes where I go. Airports, planes, shuttles, hotels and the constant car rides -- we've done it all.
About Puck
Puck is a fluffy white puppy that is so cute it hurts. But that's beside the point. He came from a very wonderful breeder that prepared him very well for the outside world. Right now he's just a bouncy little dog full of energy that is also intelligent and eager to please. There has been some talk of training him instead of training Tinker or obtaining a program trained assistance/response dog. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
I'm a contradiction all by myself. Soldier and student. Stargazer and computer geek. Boots and music. Paper pusher and globetrotter. It all works out in the end.
